About the Hydrangea(ajisai) Award (Gold)

This award has been presented to children who have presented outstanding artwork in the 12th International Exchange Exhibition of Children's Art in 2009.
The title of this certificate "ajisai" means hydrangea, which is the symbol flower of Narita City where the exhibition is being held. This is why the award is named the "Hydrangea Award".
Hydrangeas may be found growing in all parts of Japan. Every year , during the months of June and July, these beautiful flower bushes bloom in variations of purple, blue, or white.
Furthermore, there are 1,467 pieces of artwork from abroad which are being presented in this year's exhibition. Out of these 1,467 pieces, 104 pieces have been selected to receive this Award.
